Volkswagen is part of the Volkswagen Group (VAG) — the same family as Audi, Škoda and Porsche — and many models share common key and immobiliser engineering, including the widely-used MQB platform. When a Volkswagen dealer needs to replace a lost key, they often have to order a pre-cut key directly from Germany, which can take 2 to 3 weeks — and because the car needs a working key to be driven, it’s often towed in for the wait.
We carry the equipment to cut and program Volkswagen keys on-site, at your home or workplace — usually the same day, with no tow truck and no weeks without your car. This covers Golf, Jetta, Polo, Tiguan, Amarok and most other Volkswagen models, on both older transponder keys and newer proximity/smart keys.

That’s different from a lost or broken key — and a new key on its own won’t fix it. On certain Volkswagen models, a key that won’t turn (or a steering wheel that stays locked even with the correct key) is almost always a steering lock fault inside the ignition barrel, not a key or chip problem.
