What a locksmith callout costs
Pricing depends on the time of day, how far I'm travelling and what the job involves. These are realistic starting figures for gaining entry — not a teaser rate that changes once I arrive.

As the table above shows, after-hours work costs significantly more. If you've got a spare key at work, somewhere safe to stay, or a lock that's annoying rather than unsafe, you're far better off calling during business hours.
Jobs that usually keep: a spare key you've been meaning to get cut, a sticking or worn lock that still works, rekeying after a tenant moves out, upgrading hardware, or a second car key. Ring me either way — if it can wait, I'll tell you, and we'll book it at the standard rate.

House & Business Lockouts
Locked out of the house, unit, shop or office. Entry gained without damaging the door or lock wherever possible. See residential and commercial services.
Car Lockouts
Keys locked in the car, or a key that's failed. Priced by make and model — worth a call before you break a window. More on automotive locksmith work.
All Keys Lost
No working key left at all. For vehicles this means originating a new car key and programming it on-site.
Break-In Repairs
Damaged locks and doors after a forced entry. Getting the property secure again is the priority.
Emergency Rekeys
Keys stolen, a tenant gone, or a set never returned. Rekeying stops old keys working without replacing hardware.

Late at night that depends on whether I'm awake and free — no one person is genuinely available every hour of every day. If I can't attend in a reasonable timeframe, I'll say so, and where I can, I'll point you toward someone who can.

If you're locked out, unsafe, or a property has been broken into, call now. If it's a spare key, a worn lock that still works, a rekey after a tenant has left, or anything that isn't stopping you getting inside, you'll pay noticeably less by waiting for standard hours — from $145 during the week against $220 and up after hours. Call either way and I'll tell you honestly which one you're dealing with.

During standard hours (Mon–Fri 9am–5pm) a lockout starts from $145. After hours it starts from $220 — between 5pm and 8pm expect $220–$250 to gain entry, and between 8pm and 10pm expect $270–$350. After 10pm starts from $330 subject to availability. Location and the specifics of the job affect the final figure, and vehicles are quoted separately by make and model. You'll get the price before I leave, not after I arrive.

Most locations across Perth's southern suburbs are 30–60 minutes depending on traffic and where you are. Areas further south toward Mandurah take longer. I'll give you a realistic estimate on the phone rather than an optimistic one.

The aim is always non-destructive entry, and in most cases that's achievable. Where a lock is already damaged — after a break-in, for example — or where the locking system leaves no other option, I'll explain what's involved and what it means before starting any work.

Usually, yes. All keys lost on a vehicle means originating a new key and programming it to the car, which takes longer than a simple lockout and varies considerably between makes. Give me the make, model and year on the phone and I'll tell you what's involved and what it costs.

Rekeying is usually the better option if the existing locks are in good condition — the internal keying is changed so old keys stop working, and the hardware stays in place. It's typically quicker and cheaper than replacement. If the locks are worn or damaged, replacing them may make more sense.

Yes. The first priority is getting the property secure again the same visit. Depending on the damage, that may be a repair on the spot or a temporary measure with proper replacement arranged shortly after. I'll explain which applies before starting.
